If you are into mentalism, particularly cold reading using props, this is an excellent source of stuff to use. It was written as a serious guide to predicting the future and performing real readings using: Playing Cards Dice and Dominoes Tea Leaves Crystal Gazing Dreams Numerology Physiognomy Phrenology Chirognomy and Chiromancy (palm reading!) Graphology There is also a large section on astrology. The book is over 600 pages long and crammed full of the kind of vague statments that could apply to anyone, all presented based on the system used to gain these insights. Whilst I don't currently perfom a great deal of mentalism I am planning to move in that direction and have therefore been looking stuff about cold reading. I then remembered this book, I have had it for years and never really bothered with it, but went back and read through it and it is great. The astrology section is probably the best for those who do character reading, or would like to, as there is a long description of the personalities of people governed by each sign, each one of which could apply to anyone.
